The Top 5 Ingredients That Are Killing Your Dog Or Cat
That You May Think Are Safe & Healthy
We have all heard of the common edible dangers, onions/garlic, chocolate, grapes/raisins and even things that contain sugar alcohols like chewing gum but did you know there are ingredients that pass the FDA’s regulations in pet food and pet treats that are actually making them sick?
Here is the list of the top 5 food ingredients that are slowly sickening our pets and ultimately bringing them to an early grave.
Grains
These are notorious for causing metabolic dysfunction, Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and provide much more trouble than just gluten, the well-known wheat protein and is actually a lectin.
Lectins are a nasty plant type of plant toxins. These plant toxins actually are a big cause for leaky gut syndrome, disrupt chemical communication between cells, pro-inflammatory, causes auto-immune responses, causes cells to clump and clot together in the bloodstream which can lead to anemia, and even induces cells to divide and multiply inappropriately causing cancer-like activity in cell reproduction patterns.

Starches
These very quickly break down into simple sugars which causes the need for large amounts of insulin and leads to obesity and high chances of diabetes along with other metabolic diseases.
There is no such thing as a complex starch that isn't fiber which won't have an effect on blood glucose and cause an insulin response. Depending on how insulin sensitive a pet is will determine how much of an effect a pet will have with starches in the diet and their blood sugar.
Hydrolyzed proteins
These are protein sources that don't even have to originate from a food source. Sources like bird feathers, beaks/bills, hair/fur/scales and other different animal parts that are put into an acid/base bath to shred the proteins into unrecognizable pieces so the body does not react to the protein source.
In the stomach, the body will normally perform natural hydrolysis of the food it intakes with stomach acid and then further with the pancreatic enzymes and gall from the liver for fats. Shredded protein molecules that are broken before reaching the body's own system to break down food and subjecting the highly processed ingredients again disrupts the natural process of digestion turning food into molecular forms it can recognize.
Hydrolyzed proteins are often made for pets with severe food allergies. Anyone who knows about Mad Cow disease, it’s caused by Prions, which are damaged protein molecules folded incorrectly in the brain and spinal cord. No one knows how Mad Cow Disease started or why, but we do know that Prions cannot be destroyed, even in temperatures that can melt lead and are extremely contagious, and contaminate surfaces very easily.

Somehow hydrolyzation doesn’t sound like a good idea...
Meat/grain meals and by-products
These are highly processed ghosts of the formal ingredient they were supposed to be. They can include tumors and diseased tissue from animal sources or the moldy husks of grains or vegetable matter.
Feeding diseased or infectious material as these inputs these bad materials inside the body of the pet who consumes it.

Chemical Preservatives
Anything used to preserve or texturize foods like;
Propylene Glycol a component of antifreeze for vehicles,
Butylated-Hydroxyanisole (BHA) or Butylated Hydroxytoluene (BHT) both known to harm kidneys and cause cancer or
Ethoxyquin developed originally as a herbicide.
Many of these things should never be in the food chain, pets or people. Yet as a cheap choice for something that is easily mass produced makes this the preferred choice for most processed products.
