Max has a unique personality and has been such a wonderful presence in my life, especially as I age. I can honestly say I have never seen that dog angry at anything. I watch her carefully at the dog park---there's a 26-acre, fenced park in south Jacksonville---and when things get tense (or especially violent) in the little informal packs of playing dogs that run around, I can watch Max lose interest, unplug, and just walk away. It's an amazing dynamic to behold.
She is just a wonderful, good-natured pup and I so enjoy my life with her. Molly and Max have been a blessing in my life---they've taught me so much and I think I'm a better person for it.
Max has always had a unique personality. She interested only in playing at the dog park but not with toys. She's just not interested in chasing/fetching anything but she loves to pal around with the other dogs at the park. She's slowing down a bit as she ages but she loves it there. There's a big open field, a pond, a semi-wooded area, and a heavily wooded area with paths through it.
When we leave the park after several hours there, I bathe her, get her into the car, and after a few minutes of bugging me for treats, she conks out in the back seat for the trip home (almost an hour trip)
