Kartie is indeed a very reliable guide dog - he is not only my eyes but also my ears, as I am a Deaf, Blind woman living an independent life. Kartie's health means my safety and continued independence.
Kartie has the best genes from two great breeds - Labrador Retriever and Golden Retriever known as the Goldador. He is very nurturing to young puppies and children while taking the lead role to young puppies in training. When Kartie is in harness he is all work and focused on navigating me around town and when we're at home alone together, he is always by my side whether in the kitchen or at my desk working.
When Kartie is in the yard or has play dates with his many dog friends, he is all play and loves to play chase and fetch like any other dog. As for 'quirk', the only thing I can think of is that he does not like to be away from me for any length of time. This is due to the tight bond we've developed and probably normal. It might be a quirk to someone else, but it's normal for us.
